Kanjiru PH is now official Kustom Artists.
“Kanjiru” (感じる) is a Japanese word meaning “to feel, sense, or experience”, which is the band’s main goal in their music — to give “feels” to their listeners.
Kanjiru was born on Feb 7, 2018 when Quincy (guitar 1) invited Jalo (vocals), Pipen (piano), Jasper (former drummer), and AI (bass) to create a Japanese rock style band. Late March 2018, Jasper left the band due to schedule conflicts, and was replaced by King.
Each member of the band previously has separate musical journeys of their own, and has their own bands and careers. But because of their love for Japanese music and culture as a unifying factor, each member immediately responded to Quincy’s invite on creating a new band, thus, forming Kanjiru.
The band works on incorporating Japanese music elements to their own music on top of Filipino or English lyrics to impart a sort of nostalgia to anime fans / otakus. They also aim to provide a whole new experience to people who loves OPM.
